Workers' Compensation - Settling a Case Without an Attorney

Settling a case without an attorney can be very dangerous.

A client came to us with a settlement agreement prepared by the insurance company’s attorney, that she was asked to sign without having proper representation. In the agreement she was asked to resign from her position even though she was still working and did not want to resign. There was also no Medicare set aside for future medical bills and the payments that would have been paid to the client for the workers’ compensation injury were very inadequate. No matter how big or small your legal issue may be, always contact an attorney.
