What Are My Chances of Success Before an Administrative Law Judge in Wilkes Barre?

In 2008, the Oregonian Newspaper was successful in obtaining the approval ratings of all Administrative Law Judges(ALJ) of the Social Security Administration.  The Oregonian was forced to file a Freedom of Information Act Request for the information.   The Oregonian prepared a database that will allow applicants to obtain the approval rating of their ALJ.  The database is easy to use and will hopefully afford applicants a certain peace of mind in preparation for their hearings.  You may visit the following web address to access database: http://www.oregonlive.com/special/index.ssf/2008/12/social_security_database.html?app.

Our local hearing office is the Wilkes-Barre Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.  Only two of the ALJs who are currently presiding in Wilkes Barre were present when the Oregonian performed their study.  The ALJs are Judge Therese Hardiman and Judge Richard Zack.  According to the website, Judge Hardiman had an average approval rate of 53% for the years 2005 through 2008.  Judge Zack had an average approval rate of 59.5% in the same years.    Fortunately, our firm s success rate is much higher than the average stated above.
